First touch: like unboxing a piece of fine jewelry
The package arrives in a thick, matte box with tissue paper inside. It is closer to perfume packaging than a tech accessory. Le Pélican itself surprises with its weight — it is dense, stable, and won't budge on your desk.
Designed by Aurélie Boiselle, and it shows. The curves are smooth, organic, almost animal-like (hence the name). The dimensions remain compact: 192 × 139 × 140 mm, slightly larger than a coffee mug.
The walnut black is particularly sleek — the real walnut inserts bring a warm, almost Scandinavian feel. White is more neutral, more versatile. Both are 3D-printed, and the finish is flawless: no visible seams, no burrs.
A braided USB-C cable is included. On the other hand — and this is my first negative point — the wall charger is not included. A minimum 20W adapter is required (iPhone type). Most of us have one lying around, but if you're starting from scratch, count on spending an extra €15.

What's annoying (let's be honest)
The 20W wall charger is not included. I had a spare one (the one from the iPad), but it's a shame — especially at this price. Another point: no official Apple MFi certification. In practice, charging works perfectly with my iPhone 16 and Apple Watch Ultra, but purists will note the absence of the “Made for iPhone” logo.
Finally, the Pélican is designed for the Apple ecosystem. If you don't have an Apple Watch, a third of the object is useless to you.
